Celebrating Caitlin-style

Very early Tuesday morning Caitlin woke up and proclaimed it a "GrEaT DaY!" Of course, it was her 10th birthday.
She started off the morning with a cup of coffee.

No, she does not normally drink coffee, but my dad told her the story of my 10th birthday when he served me coffee for the very first time. Since then, she has been bound and determined that on HER 10th birthday morning--she was going to drink coffee! I fixed it with plenty of sugar and vanilla creamer, and guess what Sarah??? She loved it!

Then she had her birthday doughnut while we sang Happy Birthday.

Present time!
I had a doctor's appointment that morning, and Caitlin had her Broadway Kids rehearsal. So off we went in different directions. She actually had a low-key birthday day--just playing her new games and watching a movie during the rainy afternoon.
But we had a date with Grandmother and Grandaddy that night.
We met them for her birthday dinner at PF Chang's! It was so delicious!!!!
And since we were at Bridge Street....

we had to ride the carousel!

It was a really fun day, and we did everything she wanted to do (except swim because of the nasty rain!).
