Laura's Birthday Weekend (That I Won't Forget!)

One of my very best friends, Laura, turned 40 on August 3.
So to celebrate, her wonderful hubby planned a fun-filled weekend in Atlanta.
We stayed with her brother's family at his house and had the best time!

We began the birthday weekend with a Braves game.
(This was Shannon, Laura, and me before the rain delay where we got completely soaked!)

We woke up bright and early the next morning and made our way to Six Flags.
It was fun riding roller coasters with just the adults.
Here are the "Boys" while we were waiting on a ride.
We got cleaned up after the park and went to eat at a fun restaurant that had a band playing that night.

I asked my friend, Shannon, to take a picture of my hubby and me.
This is what I got!!

After listening to some fun music and stuffing ourselves with some delicious food, we decided to take a walk in the fresh air before heading back to the house.
After our walk, as we were waiting on a cab I happened to step off the curb funny.
We went into a bathroom and looked at my hurt foot which was all red.
By the time we got back to Laura's brother's house, my foot was turning purple and had started to swell. I put an ice pack on it for about an hour then went to bed.
When we woke up the next morning, my foot was twice as big as normal, and was completely black and blue!!!
Randy took me to the Emergency Room, and guess what?!?

My foot was broken!!!!

So apparently, I had way too much fun at Laura's birthday party!

I'm in this lovely walking boot for 4 more weeks which has made for a fun back to school!

Recap of July

Well, I guess I had so much fun this summer that I just didn't have time for blogging!
That's my excuse, anyway, and I'm sticking to it!!
So to recap what we did for the rest of July...
Here we are waiting on Daddy to get out to the car so we can go see Spiderman: 3D.

Caitlin and Harrison participated in Camp Winshape at our church, and we got to visit them on Friday to see what they had been doing all week.
It was Chick-fil-a day, and if you dressed as a cow you got a free meal.
We played in the sprinkler a lot since it was so hot, but look who had the most fun!
Caitlin and I baked cupcakes. We found this cute project on Pinterest and just had to make them!
Caitlin had Visitors' Day at ballet, and we got to see her in action in her new pointe shoes.
And our favorite activity???
Swimming!
This was Harrison's first summer to jump off the diving board.
So that's why I haven't been on the computer...I've been a little busy with my family!
